Family History Research

When you hire me to do genealogy research, I will review the information you provided in a questionnaire, then formulate a research plan, then conduct research and document evaluation, analysis, and correlation. My work culminates in a well-researched professional research report of my findings (including negative findings), complete with citations detailing where I located any information I was able to find along with recommendations for future research. Projects may also include timelines, transcriptions or abstracts of documents, and simple family trees as relevant.

During the research process, and in my research reports, I adhere to the Board for Certification of Genealogists' Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS) and Genealogist's Code of Ethics as well as the Association of Professional Genealogists' Code of Ethics. I participate in professional development opportunities on a regular basis to stay current in the genealogy field. I strive for excellence in my work, and I am tenacious in my search for answers to research questions.
